CPS Basic Monthly with Covid Data

Since May 2020 the BLS has collected additional variables relevant to the Covis-19 pandemic. These are distributed as supplementary files from https://www.census.gov/data/datasets/2020/demo/cps/cps-covid.html . Here we offer the supplementary file joined to the basic monthly file in dta, csv and sas7bdat formats, for user convenience.

Missing records

For unexplained reasons, the records counts in the supplement are smaller than in the basic monthly files by about 25%. If you are aware of the reason for this, please write to feenberg@nber.org. Thanks.
