Index of /vital-stats-tables/sex-race-state
The file sex_race_state-fips.csv contains counts of live births by state,
race of mother, sex of child, and year from 1947 through 1968, derived
from published tables in US vital statistics. Race categories are those
supplied in the original tables.
Three years of tables exist but (by error) were not digitized: 1948, 1949,
and 1962. In 1967 the data is not presented in the published volume.
The .csv,.xls and .dta formats should contain the same data. Data entry
was done by Digital Divide Data for Karen Norberg.
